Tesla quietly integrates geofenced areas in California, hinting at unsupervised Full Self-Driving (FSD) rollout. These zones mirror robotaxi locations, pending regulatory approval and marking a major autonomy leap.
The driverless auto market is rapidly expanding, with Waymo leading the charge. Waymo plans to offer driverless rides in at least 20 cities globally, expanding beyond Phoenix, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) says this new probe is looking at instances when FSD was engaged when it was foggy or a lot of dust was in the air, or even when glare from the sun blinded the car’s cameras and this caused a problem.
