Currently, Lucid’s site checklists several Air EVs eligible for the price cuts, starting from a $69,900 Air Pure and looking at $120,000 for an Air Grand Touring. The top-spec Sapphire trim is not qualified for the discounts, yet there’s still plenty to select from. The base Air Pure benefits 420 miles on a complete charge and has a single electric motor that produces 430 horse power, while the Air Grand Touring adds a second electric motor for dual-motor four-wheel drive with 819 hp and ups the maximum array to 512 miles.
We’ll see how effective Lucid’s conquest deal ends up being, seeing just how the Air EV isn’t exactly budget-friendly to begin with. In Polestar’s case, it piled one more $15,000 of incentives to lessees for a total discount rate of $20,000, and it worked. Jordan Hofmann, the automaker’s head of US sales, said Polestar saw some of its highest possible order days for the Polestar 3 due to the Tesla Conquest Deal.
The discount is split in two: $2,000 is reduced off the rate of a brand-new Air car if you opt for a cars and truck that remains in stock and on-site, while the various other $2,000 is deducted from the car’s selling price if you’re thinking about trading in a cars and truck that you already possess or lease.
Lucid Motors, the maker of the Air deluxe electrical sedan and Gravity SUV, is going after Tesla owners who want to jump ship. Up until the end of March, wannabe consumers can rise to $4,000 off a supply 2025 Lucid Air if they trade in a Tesla EV.
According to Lucid’s terms, you don’t even have to sell your old auto– you just have to give proof of possession, that makes it a little bit extra interesting. What’s even more, the deal is valid if you currently own or lease a gas-powered or hybrid version from a very long checklist of supposed tradition car manufacturers.
However, when it concerns giving evidence of ownership of an EV, Tesla is the only car manufacturer targeted by this campaign. It’s a similar relocate to what Polestar did last month with terrific success– supplying a $5,000 price cut for Tesla motorists looking to rent a new Polestar 3.
